About International Club Network (ICN)

International Club Network is the largest alliance of independent private clubs in the world.  ICN was organized in 1998 at the invitation of the Club Managers Association of America to provide members of private clubs with a membership benefit.  Through it, private club members gain access to private clubs of all types around the world.  Today, ICN operates in 20 countries and facilitates access to approximately 400 private and daily fee facilities, including golf, skiing, dining, athletic and yacht clubs.

ICN has two virtual clubs:

International Club Network:
  A private club access program - ICN is exclusively for members of private clubs and is the way those members may visit other private clubs when they travel.  ICN Members also receives all of the benefits enjoyed by Privileged Play Members.

Privileged Play:
  A "private club" without the cost.  This program is for people who love golf but who are not members of private clubs.  Privileged Play provides Members with special programming typically available only with private clubs, in addition to discounts and front-of-the-line benefits at the best public and resort properties across Canada.

ICN's mission is to provide exceptional golf and leisure experiences supported by an engaged community at a reasonable cost.  Our ambition is by making a positive difference to the lives of our members, we can make a significant positive contribution to the industries in which our facilities operate.

ICN's Executive Team


Mr. Ian Tudhope
is ICN's Chairman and is also the Chairman of Interbrand Canada, one of the largest and best recognized organizations for its work with many of Canada's finest companies in developing their brands and marketing messages.  In addition to being an astute investor, Mr. Tudhope has attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard School of Business.

Mr. Larry Ungerman
is a member of ICN's Board of Advisors and is currently a past-President of the National Golf Course Owners’ Association.  Mr. Ungerman also is a part owner of four significant golf properties in Ontario, Canada.

Mr. M.G. Orender
is a member of ICN’s Board of Advisors.  He is a past-President of the PGA of America, an organization representing 26,000 PGA professionals in the US.  Mr. Orender is also President of Hampton Golf Company, which owns and operates eight golf courses in Florida.

Mr. Ronald Corey
is a member of ICN’s Board of Advisors.  Mr. Corey is a high profile executive in Quebec and is the past-President of the Montreal Canadiens Hockey Club where he won five Stanley Cups over an 18 year period.

Mr. Kevin Beattie
is a member of ICN’s Board of Directors.  He is a past VP Information Technology for Lansing Buildall, Revelestoke Home Centres and VP Store Systems for RONA.  He is currently a director or advisor to several private companies and not-for-profit organizations.  Mr. Beattie has an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

Mr. Martin Kent is a member of ICN’s Board of Directors.  He is currently a Managing Director at Newport Partners, which provides merchant banking services to successful Canadian entrepreneurs.  He has managed private equity funds for Oncap and EdgeStone and held various investment banking positions with RBC Dominion Securities, Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan in New York and Toronto.  Martin began his career in 1982 with Clarkson Gordon (now Ernst & Young) where he received his Chartered Accountant designation.  He has an MBA from Harvard University.

Mr. Kim Robinson
is President and Chief Executive Officer of ICN.  He formed his own operation in 2002, and, with a US company, was able to test the Privileged Play concept in Canada.  For six years, Mr. Robinson was the Chief Financial Officer of ClubLink Corporation, Canada’s largest owner and developer of premium golf properties.  ClubLink’s record of growth and reputation for being an innovator and progressive marketer in the industry and Mr. Robinson’s pivotal role in managing the company established significant credibility to launch ICN in North America.  Prior to ClubLink, Mr. Robinson was CFO of a public transportation company and was also VP Corporate Development for the Molson Companies.  Mr. Robinson has an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario.

Ms. Barb McMurray
is a founder of ICN.  Her initial responsibilities included the development of marketing strategies and systems and the definition of the creative direction for the ICN brand.  Ms. McMurray worked with Mr. Robinson to develop the public play program offered through a Canadian bank in 2003 and was engaged in all of the operational programming to launch and manage that business.  She has an excellent background in consumer marketing - after starting her marketing career in product management with General Foods and Pillsbury Green Giant, she had her own marketing consulting firm.  She has extensive experience in developing marketing plans for the mid to large size packaged goods companies and in the execution of promotional programs and special events.  Ms. McMurray is a gradute of the Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario.
