Description:
With wide fairways, undulating greens, tons of sand and the Bruce Creek, Angus Glen is one of the most challenging courses in Canada. Currently ranked among the 17 top courses in Canada by Score Magazine, the course opened in 1995 to raves, including being awarded the top new course in Canada designation by the illustrious Golf Digest Magazine. Designer Doug Carrick has fashioned a difficult test right from the first hole, which is generally regarded as the hardest in the Toronto region. From there the front nine winds through some magnificent geography, with significant elevation changes and receptive greens. The back nine continues over the Bruce Creek before hitting a stretch of Scottish-style links holes. With Angus' prevailing winds always present, these holes are no pushover. The layout finishes with the spectacular 18th, where the brave can go for birdie by trying to cut the corner. But beware - if you don't get all of it, Bruce Creek and the forest surrounding the fairway have been known to ruin a
good golf score.
